My Story
I'm Del, a chef with more than 20 years in professional kitchens, and these days you'll find me in the South Island of New Zealand, helping home cooks make delicious food on a budget and with a lot less waste.
Everything I learned the hard way in fast, high-pressure kitchens, I now hand over in a form you can actually use on a Tuesday night. Clear steps, no faff, and no shopping list as long as your arm.
Whether you're just starting out or you want to level up what you already do, I'll give you the recipes, the skills, and the confidence to cook really good food with ease.
A Bit More About My Love for Food...
As you can see, even at just 4 years old I was already bursting with excitement at the thought of a delicious meal or snack. Not much has changed.
I spent the first decade of my career in some of London's top restaurants, including Angela Hartnett at The Connaught and The Ivy. That's where I learned the techniques that are second nature to me now, and the ones I'll pass on to you. From there I cooked in private homes in the Swiss Alps, and worked my way through a good few countries and cuisines along the way.
After swapping Switzerland for the beautiful mountains of New Zealand, I can promise you I still start the day with the same question: What's for breakfast, lunch, and dinner? The difference now is I'm not asking it for my guests. I'm asking it for me, and for you too!
